Referenced in Sandor Bodansky-Kovac's 1939 dissertation for the University of Virginia titled "Czechslovaks in Virginia":

"There were enterprising leaders of Czechoslovak communities in Pennsylvania and elsewhere who investigated the possibility of colonization in Virginia and tried their hands at it.  Rev. John Jelinek, minister of the Congregational Church in Braddock, Pennsylvania, bought a large farm in Prince George county in Virginia and attempted to settle a number of Czechoslovak families on it.  Among those living in Prince George county today, who came through the efforts of Rev. Jelinek are Andrew Pinsky, Andrew Sipos, John Miklos, Peter Jelinek, John Kanak, Joe and John Tomko, George Zustin, Michal Balas, George Mancos, John Rusnak, and others.  Out of these settlers was organized the Bethlehem Congregational Church of Begonia. "
