Where To Find A Place With Plenty Of Tomes In Dragon’s Dogma 2

The Caged Magistrate Requires Refuge

During The Caged Magistrate quest, Waldhar asks you for information on Where To Find A Place With Plenty Of Tomes In Dragon’s Dogma 2, which is hidden away behind a side quest.

It’s possible to reach this location and speak with Waldhar in one of two ways. You can arrive having already completed the required side quest or you can arrive before completing the side quest. Due to the perilous nature of the gaol, with roaming guards at every turn, it’s a good idea to complete the side quest first.

It is possible there are multiple locations that fit the Magistrates requirement, but this is the only one we have found up to this point. It’s called The Gracious Hand’s Vaults. It’s on the outskirts of Vernworth, just to the East, outside the castle walls.

However, unless you have completed a specific side quest, you will not be able to enter the vaults and therefore, will not have somewhere for Waldhar to find refuge. For that, you must complete The Heel Of History.

Unlocking The Place With Plenty Of Tomes

To unlock and gain access to The Gracious Hand’s Vault, you must complete The Heel of History side quest. This quest can be found by speaking with the priest who stands outside the vault all day, asking for donations.

Make a couple of donations to the cause, anything works fine, and he will ask you for help finding a lost child. It’s an easy side quest but if you get stuck, be sure to check out our side quest guide for this quest and to avoid missing hidden quests in the future.

Once the quest is complete you can return to Waldhar and inform him of The Gracious Hand’s Vault
