All Enemy Skills In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth & Where To Learn Them
Master Powerful Abilities With The Unique Enemy Skill Materia
The Enemy Skill Materia allows you to learn moves from enemies in battle. This guide lists All Enemy Skills In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth that we discovered in our adventure. The method of learning an Enemy Skill in FF7 Rebirth is slightly different from the original game, so we’ll go over that first.
How To Learn Enemy Skills In FF7 Rebirth
[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’]The learning process in the original game was simpler. You needed to fight a specific enemy, one with an Enemy Skill that you could learn, and witness the move. The character with Enemy Skill Materia equipped then learned the ability. In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, it has changed somewhat. You now need to use the Assess ability, from the Assess Materia, on specific creatures. They are different creatures in each zone but the process is the same.
This is a good news, bad news scenario. On the positive side, you do not need Enemy Skill Materia equipped to learn enemy skills in the field. You can use other Materia and then just use Assess to target enemies. In any region, head to Chadley and speak with him then check the Combat Simulator. There will be a challenge with an Enemy Skill reward. You need to Assess all of the wildlife in that region, among other goals.

This ability grants the user Bravery and Faith and also deals wind and magic damage against a target. It is unlocked by completing the Biological Intel: Know Thine Enemy challenge in the Combat Simulator. This challenge is unlocked as soon as you first gain access to the Combat Simulator in Chapter 2.
Plasma Discharge
This ability adds Lightning Damage to your attacks and, each time an ATB gauge is filled, it deals lightning damage to nearby enemies. To unlock this Enemy Skill you need to Defeat a Classified Foe in the Grasslands, Assess 16/16 Enemies in the Grasslands, and reach Enemy Materia Rank 2. You may also need to Assess Quetzalcoatl. You then need to complete the Biological Intel: Blinded By Light in the Combat Simulator.
Soothing Breeze
This ability forces the user to stop moving temporarily and heals all allies in the surrounding area. To unlock this Enemy Skill you need to complete the Biological Intel: Breath Of Life challenge in the Combat Simulator. This is unlocked by completing the Junon objectives. You need to defeat the Quetzalcoatl in Grasslands, if you have not done so already, you will have to wait until the story lets you return. Then Assess 10 enemies in the Junon Region. These are all common enemies, just Assess everything once (level 2 Assess scans all enemies in the fight). The final one is the Mindflayer. Find all the Lifesprings in the Junon area to reveal the Mindflayers location. Assess it for the final target.
Self-Destruct
Incapacitates the user and deals a large amount of damage to nearby enemies. You learn this ability in the Corel Region once you reach Costa Del Sol. Complete the Biological Intel: At Any Cost event in the Combat Simulator. To unlock this event, you must have defeated the Classified Foe in the Junon Region and scanned all enemies in the Corel Region.
Mind Blast
Deals magic damage over a large area. Significantly increases Stagger and can only be used once per battle. To unlock this Enemy Skill you need to complete the Biological Intel: Head Case mission in the Combat Simulator in Gongaga, which requires 14/14 enemies assessed and the Junon classified foe defeated.
Rancid Breath
This ability randomly inflicts Silence, Poison, Sleep, Stop, or Petrification in a large area. Complete the Battle Simulator challenge, Biological Intel: That’s The Smell, once you reach the Cosmo Canyon Region. To unlock this challenge you need to defeat the Classified Foe in Gongaga Region, Assess 15/15 enemies in Cosmo Canyon, and have Enemy Skill Materia at 4 stars.
Gorgon Shield
This ability conjures a shield that, when strike by enemy attacks, fires petrifying shots. To unlock this Enemy Skill you must complete the Biological Intel: Stony Stare objective in the Combat Simulator once you reach Nibelheim. You need to defeat the Classified Foe in Cosmo Canyon, Assess 16/16 enemies in Nibel region, and have level 5 Enemy Materia.
Is The All Materia In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
Yes, however it has changed name and function since the original Final Fantasy 7. The All Materia is now called Magnify, and it increases the range of linked Materia – whereas the original made it effect all targets. It also weakens the ability but as you level up the Magnify Materia, that weakness lessens.
How Do You Get Summon Materia In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
Summon Materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is acquired through Chadley. When you reach a new region and you investigate some towers and interact with Lifesprings, Chadley will inform you that there is a Combat Simulator challenge available for the Summon exclusive to that region. You can find shrines dedicated to each summon that, once complete, reduce the strength and power of the Combat Simulator challenge, making it easier to complete.
