How To Get Across The Borderland In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

The Borderland is an area of water blocked off by branches and twigs. This guide on How To Get Across The Borderland In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth explains the process of unlocking the entire Corel region as, when you first arrive at least, you cannot complete all of the World Intel challenges.

If you’re anything like me, you like completing an area 100% before progressing to the next map to explore. Unfortunately, that takes a bit of time in the Corel region surrounding Costa Del Sol. After you finish the Costa Del Sol story quests, you can leave and begin exploring the Corel region location. There are a few points of interest, World Intel, and Lifesprings you can find, and you can even start a few of the side quests, but you won’t be able to complete the area fully until much later.

If you are looking for Tonberry King’s Crown or perhaps you just want to explore more of the region, you’re going to have to follow the main story. This will take you up Mount Corel, and eventually to the Gold Saucer. After you complete all of the story quests in the Gold Saucer, you will receive a Buggy that will let you explore the southern parts of the Corel region.

You can then fully explore every part of the desert and surrounding area, including the area across from The Borderland. The Buggy is able to traverse water and land, and it can also drive straight over the twigs and branches that block the passageway in The Borderland region.

[accordion initial=’1′] [accordion_item title=’Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Fast Travel FAQ’]

How To Fast Travel In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, traditional fast traveling becomes available early on through main story progression. Once unlocked, accessing fast travel is a breeze: simply open your map, choose a designated fast travel location (like a restored Chocobo Stop), and select the fast travel option. However, there are intricacies to this system. Upon entering a new region, such as transitioning from the Grasslands to the Junon Region, fast travel may be temporarily restricted until specific quests or story milestones have been accomplished.

Later in the game, when you have unlocked multiple regions, you will often have to use different fast travel locations, instead of just travelling across multiple regions.

How Can You Return To Grasslands And Other Areas In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

Yes, none of the main regions become locked permanently. However, almost every new region locks the previous region when first visited. For example, when you leave the Grasslands and head to the Junon Region, you are unable to return to the Grasslands until you complete a quest at the Junon Region Chocobo Ranch. This same restriction is placed on multiple locations as you progress through the story.

How Do You Unlock Chocobo’s In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

The process of discovering and unlocking Chocobos remains consistent and straightforward across all early regions in FF7 Rebirth. Initially, you must locate the Chocobo’s whereabouts, indicated by a Chocobo feet icon on the map. Following these tracks leads you to the region-specific Chocobo. It’s important to note that Chocobos found in a particular region can only be utilized within that same region, owing to their exclusive traversal abilities tailored to that area. Typically, a mini-game accompanies the task of catching the Chocobo once it’s located. Successfully completing this mini-game grants you access to the Chocobo for use.

Can You Fly In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

You do eventually unlock the ability to fly in FF7 Rebirth, but it’s not the same as the original Final Fantasy 7 game. In the original game, you can fly practically unrestricted across the entire world. Flying through regions, locating secrets, and discovering treasures. In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth the Bronco acts more as an extension of the fast travelling system, allowing you to travel back to multiple regions without having to use boats or ports.

Is Cid in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

Cid is a recurring character name found in many Final Fantasy installments, often portrayed as a skilled pilot and mechanic. In Final Fantasy 7, Cid is a prominent character that players can unlock, and he makes a return in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. However, unlike his playable role in the original game, Cid in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth serves as a supportive companion to the party, offering aid and camaraderie throughout their journey rather than being directly playable.
