Ario Now Available Digitally on Consoles

A fantasy adventure steeped in Persian fantasy, Vata Games and Artax Games’ Ario is now available on consoles.

A 2.5D action adventure with touches of tower defense and MetroidVania elements thrown in for good measure, players will follow the titular Ario as he takes on powerful dark forces in the hunt for his missing mother.

Ario’s moveset allows him to run, slide, roll, wall jump, and climb up ledges. Timing is everything, factoring into everything from Ario crossbow to the navigation of the title’s different hazards spread throughout its 12 different levels.

Ario’s nightmare land pulls from medieval fantasy world and retro steampunk mechanical elements, complete with demonic and mechanical enemies. This is all brought together by illustrated cutscenes that have been fully voiced in Persian.
