Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Open Beta Announced
Namco Bandai announced today that they will be holding an Open Beta for their upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. Majin Vegeta and a new multiplayer mode were also announced.
Open Beta details were sparse but we did learn that players will get the chance to explore the new hub area Conton City. It is stated that this new area will be seven times larger than the previous hub city and will replace Toki Toki City from the first game. In this new hub area players will find their quests, train players and shop for upgrades and items. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will also feature twice the amount of quests as the first title as well as new parallel quests from the first game.
A new Expert Mission mode was also unveiled that will allow up to 6 players to band together and take down big NPC bosses. From the new announcement trailer all we see is a Saiyan Great Ape and possibly Broly as the targets but the possibilities can really be innumerable. Finally, A new system for rare item drops will be made available for players to hunt their favorite costumes and accessories.
We won’t have to wait long to find out more on the Beta as Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 releases October 25, 2016 on PS4, Xbox One and October 28 for PC/Steam.
