Grand Theft Auto V Coming to NextGen
One of the bigger announcements during the Sony E3 2014 press conference was that Grand Theft Auto V, one of the greatest games of the last generation, will be making its way to NextGen consoles. Grand Theft Auto V is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC sometime this fall. It is possible that it will come to PlayStation 4 first before Xbox One and PC seeing as it was shown at the Sony press conference at E3. This isn’t necessarily shocking news, but it’s definitely conformation that people have been wanting for quite some time. This will allow Grand Theft Auto V to utilize the hardware of the new consoles and look better than it did on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 hardware.
Rockstar also announced that players who enjoy their current online character will have the ability to transfer them to whatever console they want. This means that Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 users can transfer their online characters to whatever new console they decided to pickup in the new generation. This will likely be done using Rockstar’s Social Club which means that offline saves will probably not be able to be transferred.
Another big outcome of this announcement is the fact that Rockstar was vocal at E3 for the first time in a while. This is a trend we would definitely like to see continue.
