Unicorn Overlord Characters and Classes Detailed

The team at Atlus West and Vanillaware have released new details around their upcoming tactical RPG Unicorn Overlord that detail classes and characters.

Characters players will come across in Unicorn Overlord include the dark elf augur Rosalinde, who stands by the protagonist as an ally. Another ally of the protagonist is Rosalinde’s sister Eltolinde, who serves as the Turenós of Elheim. Swordsman and knight Ithilion rounds out the party, who leads a guerrilla force.

Meanwhile, enemies in Unicorn Overlord include Alcina, a witch loyal to the Zenoiran Army and the wizened wizard Baltro.

In Unicorn Overlord, each character has a set class that determines each of their affinities in combat, on top of which skills and weaponry they’ll be able to use. There are more than 60 class types in all, including Housecarl, Gladiator, Arbalist, Cleric, Wyvern Knight, Shaman, Elven Fencer, Werewolf, and Featherbow.

On that same note, it’s important to keep class compatibility in mind when entering each battle, as there are strengths and weaknesses to consider. One can also use the “Leader Effect” ability to destroy obstacles like barricades. Movement types and promotions that boost one’s class also come into play.

The game will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on March 8.
