Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Gameplay Overview Trailer Released

See what’s to come in Ubisoft Montpellier’s Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown with the latest gameplay overview for the 2.5D action-adventure platformer.

In this title, players will take control of the protagonist Sargon as they jump, slide, and air dash to quickly move between platforms.

Sargon also possesses a pair of blades, which can be used for parrying. Time things just right, and Sargon’s Athra’s Glow will be activated, which grants him special abilities.

Much like previous Prince of Persia entries, Sargon can utilize a number of time-based platforms for both platforming and combat. For instance, Rush of the Simurgh lets players dash through time, while, Shadow of the Simurgh sets up temporary checkpoints called “Shadow Markers.”

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown pulls from a number of MetroidVania elements found in titles like Metroid Dread; featuring an interconnected world, various puzzles, and secret rooms. Players will also be able to unlock additional tools needed for progression over time.
