Silent Hill 2 Remake Launching October 8

Making its debut during the State of Play broadcast earlier today, Konami and Bloober Team announced that the Silent Hill 2 Remake is set to launch October 8.

For those that played the original, the Silent Hill 2 remake moves from the original’s fixed-camera viewpoints to an over-the-shoulder perspective. This was done to make sure players are closer to what the protagonist James sees, leading to a more immersive experience.

The Silent Hill 2 remake will pay host to ray tracing, and other technical enhancements compared to its initial release on the PlayStation 2. New, immersive soundscapes have also been included to add to its atmosphere.
