]]> A tactical RPG with a roguelite thrill, the world of Leikir Studio, Dotemu, and Gamera Games’ Metal Slug Tactics is hitting the battlefield this fall.

A twist on the run-and-gun formula of SNK’s classic Metal Slug series, Metal Slug Tactics tasks players with command the Peregrine Falcons Squad in intense battles, ones where every move counts.

As players taking on the infamous Rebel Army once more, they’ll be tasked with gaining experience, leveling up their operatives, and adapt to their enemies.

The latest trailer for the game, which can be seen below, serves as a showcase of the dynamic combat series vets Marco, Eri, Fio, and Tarma bring to Metal Slug Tactics’ campaign.

]]> The dark fantasy world of emergeWorlds and RedDeer.Games’ Dros will make its way to the Nintendo Switch.

Putting players into the shoes (or rather, goop) of Captain and Little Dros, this title tasks players with switching between this dynamic duo.

For instance, players will be able to use Captain for “big” tasks like fighting through enemy hordes, maneuvering heavy objects, and holding down pressure plates. 

Meanwhile, smaller tasks like sliding, wiggling, and squirming into select areas is where Little Dros truly shines.

Between these two characters, Dros will have players combining their unique skills to solve puzzles and ascend to the top of the Alchemist’s Tower.

As part of Patch .180, players will be able to unlock the all-new Building Blocks system. With this system in place, players can unleash their creativity and be even more innovative with their housing plots. Players will also be able to access the new Grand Harvest House, which pays host to an indoor spiral staircase and a front porch.

Palia players can also now attain Level 5 Friendship with villagers like Jina, Hekla, and Einar. This, in turn, will give players the chance to get exclusive decor rewards after completing each friendship questline. 

Finally, the fan-favorite Hotpot minigame is now a permanent fixture in the Underground Black Market, while a new chat bubble feature gives players the chance to chat with friends and deepen friendships.

In this title, players will control a flat Mario as they get out to collect the Crystal Stars before the bad guys. The ultimate goal? Find the treasure behind the Thousand-Year Door before the X-Nauts.

A twist on turn-based RPGs, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has players utilize both badges and timing-based attacks to get the edge in battle. Players can also collect Crystal Stars that unlock powerful Special Moves.

The paper angle comes into play too; one can fold Mario into a plane, or can even turn him sideways to move across narrow gaps.

]]> An epic journey over four years in the making, Straynus’ spiritual successor to Lucasfilm’s Maniac Mansion – Cronela’s Mansion – will launch for PC and consoles in 2025.

Taking inspiration from SCUMM engine titles of the late 80s/early 90s, Cronela’s Mansion is an open-world adventure game that tells the story of Tommy.

Players will join him as he explores the titular sprawling estate, solves clever puzzles, and interacts with different characters through a branching dialogue system,

Cronela’s Mansion is especially unique, in that it’s set to release for the Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance. This is on top of Nintendo Switch and PC versions.

Cronela´s Mansion: New Point And Click Adventure For Retro Consoles

Straynus said the following:

“For the past four years, I have been working at Cronela’s Mansion. Creating a point-and-click game for retro systems has been a challenging experience, both physically and mentally, as all versions are programmed and drawn from scratch. 

The NES version, in particular, has been very difficult to create. Now, I am looking for funding on Kickstarter to be able to produce all the physical material for the games. If you like my work and love retro graphic adventures, it would be amazing to have your support.”

As players set out to chomp Ghosts and opponets, players will set out to become the last “PAC” standing in this 64-player Battle Royale.

Customization options are included that let players tweak body, head, and face cosmetics. From there, players can then add friends to their fruebd list, track friends’ progress, spectate friends’ plays
