Although each character is unique in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, they all follow the same mechanics in regards to how they are selected to be your date at the Gold Saucer. The game takes into account several key components that, together, add up for a total friendship or Synergy rating with each character. This is measured by a happy face icon above the character in the game world, which you can highlight by pressing L1.

How To Take Barret On Gold Saucer Date In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’] The different elements of the game that reward you with an increase in friendship points, or synergy, are Conversations, Odd Jobs, Synergy Skills, and Story choices. Each section below is explained to help you choose Barret as your date.

Conversations
At key moments during the game, when the party is with you but not attached to Cloud, when you are exploring Costa Del Sol for example, and the other characters are around enjoying the sights. They will have a dialog icon over their heads. Speaking to them unlocks a conversation bonus for increased friendship. The choices you make in these conversations do not matter. It is the act of actually having the conversation that increases the relationship.

Odd Jobs
Odd jobs within the game refer to side quests, amounting to a total of 36 quests. Every individual side quest is associated with a specific character. By fulfilling the objectives of a side quest linked to a particular character, players can bolster their relationship with that character. Barret’s Odd Job bonuses are as follows:

[list style=’regular’] [list_item]Lifeline In Peril (Grasslands Region)[/list_item] [list_item]Hustle And Grind (Grasslands Region)[/list_item] [list_item]When Words Won’t Do (Junon Region)[/list_item] [list_item]Missing: Mr. Birdie (Corel Region)[/list_item] [list_item]The Pursuit Of Perfection (Gongaga Region)[/list_item] [list_item]Escape From Endless Writers Block (Gongaga Region)[/list_item] [list_item]Lament Of The Damned (Nibel Region)[/list_item] [/list]

Synergy Skills & Abilities
Synergy Skills are used in battle after they have been unlocked on the Folio menu. They offer HUGE bonuses to friendship with characters. So, if there is a specific character you want to take on the date, make sure to unlock each of their Synergy abilities and then use them once in combat.

Story Beats
The following are the Story Beats choices for Barret. These are choices that occur during cut-scenes and main events of the story itself, you cannot miss these choices, it only matters the choice you make.

[list style=’regular’] [list_item]Costa Del Sol Beach Choice – When you can either aid Barret or another party member, choose Barret[/list_item] [list_item]Corel Minecraft Route & Score – Choose Barret’s route and get the highest score during this sequence[/list_item] [list_item]Corel Prison Buggy Escape – Maximize the score with Barret[/list_item] [list_item]Loveless – Complete the Loveless event at Gold Saucer[/list_item] [list_item]Skywheel Date – Take Barret on the Skywheel Date[/list_item] [/list]

There are two primary methods to ensure you date the character you want to date. Firstly, just making sure they have the highest friendship. This can be done in two ways. Either you can follow the game naturally, through to Chapter 12, and then try and focus on one character via Synergy abilities and side quests or, you can ignore every side quest and Synergy Ability with all characters apart from the character you want to date. The information above should be everything you need to choose your Gold saucer date.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has a hidden series of events that influence a character’s relationship. This guide on How To Choose Your Skywheel Date At Gold Saucer In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth tells you everything you need to know to make sure you pick the date you want and don’t accidentally end up riding the Skywheel with Barret.

Okay, look. It’s fine to take Barret on the Skywheel, or whoever you choose, but as young boys on the playground, it was often a funny point of discussion when we realized 90% of us had Barret as a date in the original Final Fantasy VII game. Nowadays, however, the system is a little easier to figure out in Rebirth so let’s take you through it, so you can guarantee your choice for the Gold Saucer date.

How To Choose Your Date At The Gold Saucer

[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’]

You can date Tifa, Aerith, Barret, Red XII, and Yuffie. Any of those characters are available for the date cut-scene on the Skywheel at Gold Saucer. The game selects who accompanies Cloud by their friendship or synergy rating. Whoever has the highest friendship level with Cloud at the point of the story where the date takes place, will be Cloud’s date. Don’t worry too much if you miss out, you can return to the chapter in post-game and actually choose who to date.

Early Game Dating Advice
There are two possible times when you are reading this. Either you’re early in your adventure and you’re planning ahead of time, or you’re at the dating scene now and want to know who is going with you. For the early game players, this bits for you. If you’re already at the date scene, check below. As you are going through the story, there are 4 different categories of actions that increase friendship with a character.

Conversations had during the story, when you arrive at a new area and the party break away from Cloud. Talking to characters at these locations increases your friendship, regardless of the choices you make. Odd Jobs, these are side quests available in most regions of Rebirth. Each side quest, marked by the characters portrait in the quest screen, is tied to a specific character. Completing that side quest increases your friendship with that character. Next up, Synergy Skills. These offer huge increases to friendship. You unlock new Synergy skills with characters via the Folio menu. Once you unlock a Synergy ability, the first time it is used in combat, you get a huge boost to friendship. Lastly, Story Beats. These are choices but unlike conversations, they cannot be missed. They happen during main story points and the characters you choose in those points, get a friendship boost.

Late Game Dating Advice
If you’re already at the dating scene when you are reading this, check the friendship levels of your friends and see who is the highest. They will be your date. If you want to change this, you are somewhat limited this late in the game. Firstly, make sure you have unlocked all Synergy abilities, from the Folio menu, with your chosen date. This is the quickest and easiest method of a huge relationship boost, a boost you get from using the synergy ability for the first time in combat.

If you have already used all of the synergy abilities for a character, return to pivotal story areas. Head back to Costa Del Sol, Gold Saucer, Junon, anywhere that when you arrive, the party are not with Cloud. They will be in the town somewhere and you can speak with them for a further boost. Lastly, do the quests specific to the character you want to date, we’ve got more details on thos below.

Yuffie joins you a little later than the rest and can be hard to choose for the date. This guide on How To Get Yuffie On Gold Saucer Date In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth tells you every event, side quest, and conversation you need to have to have Yuffie as your Gold Saucer date.

In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, while each character possesses distinct traits, the mechanism for choosing them as your date at the Gold Saucer remains consistent. The game evaluates various key factors that determine a character’s overall friendship or Synergy rating. Players can assess this rating through a happy face icon displayed above the character in the game world, which can be unveiled by pressing L1.

How To Take Yuffie On Gold Saucer Date In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’] The different elements of the game that reward you with an increase in friendship points, or synergy, are Conversations, Odd Jobs, Synergy Skills, and Story choices. Each section below is explained to help you choose Yuffie as your date.

Conversations
At pivotal intervals throughout the game, particularly when the party is present but not actively linked to Cloud, as seen during explorations in Costa Del Sol, characters will sport a dialog icon above their heads. Engaging in conversation with them unlocks a bonus for friendship growth, with dialogue choices having no bearing. The crux lies in initiating these conversations to nurture relationships.

Odd Jobs
Odd jobs are side quests, of which there are 36 in the game. Each side quest is tied to one specific character. Completing a side quest tied to that character will increase your relationship with that character. Yuffie’s Odd Job bonuses are as follows:

[list style=’regular’] [list_item]Tides Of War And Worry (Junon Region)[/list_item] [list_item]The Saga Of Seaside Inn (Corel Region)[/list_item] [list_item]Trouble In Paradise (Corel Region)[/list_item] [list_item]Teach Me, Great Warrior (Gongaga Region)[/list_item] [list_item]Bonds Of Trust (Cosmo Canyon Region)[/list_item] [list_item]Victim Of Circumstance (Cosmo Canyon Region)[/list_item] [list_item]Esoteric Secrets Of The Elders (Nibel Region)[/list_item] [/list]

Story Beats
The following are the Story Beats choices for Yuffie. These are choices that occur during cut-scenes and main events of the story itself, you cannot miss these choices, it only matters the choice you make.

[list style=’regular’] [list_item]Corel Minecraft Route & Score – Choose Yuffie’s route instead of Barret’s, and get the highest score[/list_item] [list_item]3D Brawler Match – Defeat Yuffie in 3D Brawler at Gold Saucer[/list_item] [list_item]Loveless – Complete the Loveless part of the story at the Gold Saucer[/list_item] [list_item]Skywheel Date – Choose to take Yuffie as your Skywheel Date in Gold Saucer[/list_item] [/list]

Guaranteeing you date the character you desire involves two main strategies. Firstly, prioritize building the highest friendship level with them. This can be done in two ways: progressing through the game naturally until Chapter 12 and concentrating on one character through Synergy abilities and side quests, or disregarding all side quests and Synergy abilities with characters except the one intended for the date. With this information, you should have everything you need to make your Gold Saucer date choice.

[accordion initial=’1′] [accordion_item title=’Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Queens Blood FAQ’]

What Is Queen’s Blood In FF7 Rebirth

Queen’s Blood is a challenging and detailed card-based mini-game first introduced in FF7 Rebirth. It follows iconic and fan-favorite card games, like Triple Triad from Final Fantasy VIII, and Tetra Master from Final Fantasy IX, however, Queen’s Blood is infinitely more complex and rewarding than previous Final Fantasy card games. Players can create decks from over 130 unique and powerful cards, with different cards combining together to offer various strategies and deck building opportunities. It’s closer to Magic: The Gathering, in terms of the possible deck builds and tactical choices, than other games in the Final Fantasy series.

How To Play Queen’s Blood In FF7 Rebirth

To play Queen’s Blood, you simply need to locate Queen’s Blood Players. These are first discovered in the town of Kalm, which is only a few hours into the main story. Once you have located a player, marked by a Queen’s Blood icon on the map, you simply approach them and challenge them to a match. It’s important to note that you only get rewards, which includes rank increases and new cards, the first time you defeat each player. As you progress in the story you will find Queen’s Blood tournaments and competitions at various locations such as Costa Del Sol and the Gold Saucer.

How To Unlock More Cards In Queen’s Blood In FF7 Rebirth

Unlocking new cards for Queen’s Blood in FF7 Rebirth offers a plethora of avenues. The principal method involves challenging and triumphing over Queen’s Blood players, with each victory yielding a single card as a reward. Alternatively, you can acquire cards through Booster Packs purchasable at various shops scattered throughout the game’s main towns. Thorin’s Shop, situated just beyond Kalm, serves as another avenue for expanding your card collection. Moreover, partaking in in-game events such as the Costa Del Sol or Gold Saucer championship presents excellent opportunities to obtain new Queen’s Blood Cards.

When Do You Unlock Queen’s Blood In FF7 Rebirth

Queen’s Blood is the stable mini-game of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth experience. It’s the first main mini-game you unlock. Once you have started the game you simply need to follow the story through until you reach the town of Karm. This is very early in the story and can be reached in just a couple of hours. Once you have reached Karm, Queen’s Blood players will start appearing on your map, marked by the card icon.

The Borderland is an area of water blocked off by branches and twigs. This guide on How To Get Across The Borderland In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth explains the process of unlocking the entire Corel region as, when you first arrive at least, you cannot complete all of the World Intel challenges.

If you’re anything like me, you like completing an area 100% before progressing to the next map to explore. Unfortunately, that takes a bit of time in the Corel region surrounding Costa Del Sol. After you finish the Costa Del Sol story quests, you can leave and begin exploring the Corel region location. There are a few points of interest, World Intel, and Lifesprings you can find, and you can even start a few of the side quests, but you won’t be able to complete the area fully until much later.

[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’]

If you are looking for Tonberry King’s Crown or perhaps you just want to explore more of the region, you’re going to have to follow the main story. This will take you up Mount Corel, and eventually to the Gold Saucer. After you complete all of the story quests in the Gold Saucer, you will receive a Buggy that will let you explore the southern parts of the Corel region.

You can then fully explore every part of the desert and surrounding area, including the area across from The Borderland. The Buggy is able to traverse water and land, and it can also drive straight over the twigs and branches that block the passageway in The Borderland region.

[accordion initial=’1′] [accordion_item title=’Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Fast Travel FAQ’]

How To Fast Travel In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, traditional fast traveling becomes available early on through main story progression. Once unlocked, accessing fast travel is a breeze: simply open your map, choose a designated fast travel location (like a restored Chocobo Stop), and select the fast travel option. However, there are intricacies to this system. Upon entering a new region, such as transitioning from the Grasslands to the Junon Region, fast travel may be temporarily restricted until specific quests or story milestones have been accomplished.

Later in the game, when you have unlocked multiple regions, you will often have to use different fast travel locations, instead of just travelling across multiple regions.

How Can You Return To Grasslands And Other Areas In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

Yes, none of the main regions become locked permanently. However, almost every new region locks the previous region when first visited. For example, when you leave the Grasslands and head to the Junon Region, you are unable to return to the Grasslands until you complete a quest at the Junon Region Chocobo Ranch. This same restriction is placed on multiple locations as you progress through the story.

How Do You Unlock Chocobo’s In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

The process of discovering and unlocking Chocobos remains consistent and straightforward across all early regions in FF7 Rebirth. Initially, you must locate the Chocobo’s whereabouts, indicated by a Chocobo feet icon on the map. Following these tracks leads you to the region-specific Chocobo. It’s important to note that Chocobos found in a particular region can only be utilized within that same region, owing to their exclusive traversal abilities tailored to that area. Typically, a mini-game accompanies the task of catching the Chocobo once it’s located. Successfully completing this mini-game grants you access to the Chocobo for use.

Can You Fly In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

You do eventually unlock the ability to fly in FF7 Rebirth, but it’s not the same as the original Final Fantasy 7 game. In the original game, you can fly practically unrestricted across the entire world. Flying through regions, locating secrets, and discovering treasures. In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth the Bronco acts more as an extension of the fast travelling system, allowing you to travel back to multiple regions without having to use boats or ports.

Is Cid in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

Cid is a recurring character name found in many Final Fantasy installments, often portrayed as a skilled pilot and mechanic. In Final Fantasy 7, Cid is a prominent character that players can unlock, and he makes a return in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. However, unlike his playable role in the original game, Cid in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth serves as a supportive companion to the party, offering aid and camaraderie throughout their journey rather than being directly playable.

[accordion initial=’1′] [accordion_item title=’Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Junon Parade FAQ’]

Are There Secret Endings In The Junon Parade in FF7 Rebirth?

There is a secret ending in the Junon Parade in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. This is a throwback to the original Final Fantasy 7 game where you received praise based on your performance. In FF7 Rebirth’s version of the Junon Parade mini-game, you can unlock a secret ending by winning both awards at the end of the Junon Parade event.

What Happens If You Win Both Awards In The Junon Parade?

If you win both awards during the Junon Parade you get to watch a secret cut-scene at the end of the parade. Additionally, when you eventually unlock the Collectibles system (speak with Johnny in Costa Del Sol after the story there is complete), you also get a trophy to display.

Does Roche Always Win In The Junon Parade?

No, defeating Roche during the Junon Parade is achievable. Initially, completing the mini-game on the easiest setting grants Roche and his biking team the Outstanding Performance Award. However, for a more thrilling challenge, players can embark on a quest to find all members of the Seventh Infantry in Junon. This unlocks a Formation that activates hard mode difficulty. Surpassing 100,000 points in this mode not only vanquishes Roche but also rewards players with the Outstanding Achievement Award and a brand-new cut-scene.

What Is The Outstanding Performance Award In The Junon Parade?

Achieving the Outstanding Performance Award in the Junon Parade entails a specific sequence of actions. Firstly, players must diligently seek out all members of the Seventh Infantry, scattered throughout Upper Junon. While advancing through the storyline is feasible after encountering only five of these soldiers, claiming the award mandates locating every member. Following this, activating the hard mode formation, which heightens difficulty across all formations, becomes imperative. Lastly, participation in the Junon Parade and surpassing a score of 100,000 points solidifies the victory and garners the prestigious award.

What’s Do Formations Do In The Junon Parade

The Formations available in the Junon Parade control the difficulty of the Junon Parade Mini-game. If you have found all members of the Seventh Infantry, you can combine them in specific ways to get the best formation. This can be easy, medium, or difficult setting. However, if you want to beat Roche for the Outstanding Performance Award, you will need to use the Hard formations.

[accordion initial=’1′] [accordion_item title=’Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Side Quest FAQ’]

How Many Side Quests Are In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

There are multiple different regions in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and each has several side quests. When you first arrive in a region you will usually have 1-3 Side Quests that you can unlock, with an in-game prompt shown on the right side of the screen informing you of new side quests being available. We have completed 6 in Grasslands, 7 in Junon Region, 8 in Corel Region, 6 in Gongaga Region, 5 is Cosmo Canyon, and 5 in Nibel Region, we estimate around 40-50 side quests total.

Where To Find Side Quests In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

Side quests in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth typically follow a consistent pattern of availability. After initial exploration of a region and sufficient progress in the corresponding storyline, the Job Board is updated with new side quests. While NPCs placing advertisements on the Job Board also offer side quests, utilizing the Job Board directly proves to be a quicker and more convenient method for unlocking new quests. Additionally, players can undertake quests for Chadley in each region by locating all Lifesprings and pursuing the Protorelic storyline.

Are Side Quests Worth It In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?

Yes! Certainly. Most RPG games of the modern era use a combination of side quest types to reward and immerse players in the world. These are usually a combination of mundane fetch quests, quests that are rarely much more than running from A to B as a glorified errand boy, and more story-rich quests that introduce new characters and explain more about the world. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirths Quests are almost exclusively, all narrative-rich quests that are rewarding and engaging. You can also unlock a lot of really cool rewards, such as unique weapons, new Queen’s Blood Cards, and more.

How Do You Unlock All Side Quests In All Regions In FF7 Rebirth?

Some players like to fully complete a region before moving on to the next, after all, nobody likes a job left half finished. However, in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the questing system doesn’t completely allow this. You can often complete all of the quests available to you in a region, but you cannot unlock all of the side quests for any of the regions on your first visit. You need to follow the main game story until you reach Chapter 12, when you arrive in Costa Del Sol on Cid’s new “boat”. From that point, more side quests will be available, allowing you to complete all of the side quests in each of the regions.

Lifespring Location #1

[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’] From Whence Life Flows Lifespring Location #1
You can find the first Lifespring at the location shown above. It’s just South of Cosmo Canyon. You can simply approach through the desert, you don’t need to worry about any difficult to locate path or flying sections. Simply head straight to the location and interact with the wooden gate. Bugenhagan will appear and hand you a key. You can then use that to open the gate and continue with the quest.

Lifespring Location #2

[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’] Lifespring Location #2
You can find the second Lifespring at this location. As before, it’s a simple approach from ground level in the desert. There is a small group of enemies that are attacking the door, you need to defeat them before you’re able to open it. Head inside to complete this objective.

Lifespring Location #3

[line style=’solid’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’1′ color=’blue’] Lifespring Location #3

This will Pressure the King Tonberry and cause him to drop his crown. You can then use the Steal ability on the crown to obtain it. So, what’s the difference between giving Johnny the Marred Crown or the Pristine Crown?

Well, there isn’t really a difference. At the end of this quest Johnny will offer to display your collectibles collection to visitors – these are unique items you can find scattered across the game. If you give Johnny the Marred Crown, you can complete the quest as normal, but that’s it.

If you want to complete Johnny’s Treasure Trove of collectibles, you actually need to own the Pristine Crown – it becomes one of the many items displayed at his hotel. So, ultimately, if you just want to complete the quest, the Marred Crown is fine. If you want to eventually complete the collection, you need the Pristine Crown. You can find it on the table upstairs.
