Sci-Fi Epic Homeworld 3 Now Available

Sci-fi fans, rejoice; the world of Blackbird Interactive and Gearbox Publishing’s Homeworld 3 is now available globally.

Set 100 years after Homeworld 2’s events, this title pots the spotlight on scientist Imogen S’Jet. The protégé of Karan S’Jet, they set out to become Fleet Command as they piece together the mystery behind Karan’s disappearance and the secrets behind “the anomaly.”

New features to this title include cover-based tactics, complete with maps that contain complex and varied terrain. Rounding things out is a modern-day experience that pays host to real-time ship damage, dynamic ship destruction, and situationally responsive audio.

Blackbird Interactive CEO Rob Cunningham said the following:

“It’s difficult to put into words what it means to Blackbird, the individual team members and me personally, to deliver this next chapter in the Homeworld story. Players are about to embark on the next leg of the journey we began together more than 20 years ago. To all the players that put their faith in us, we are eternally grateful.”

Steve Gibson, president of Gearbox Publishing, added:

“It’s a rare experience to be able to publish a generation-spanning franchise like Homeworld alongside a world-class developer in Blackbird Interactive. The work they’ve done with Homeworld 3 has blown us away and stands as an example of the level of artistry and storytelling that is possible in this medium. It’s truly something we’ll always cherish.”

The game is available for the PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
