Idea Factory International Press Event 2017 Recap
At Idea Factory’s 3rd annual press event, we learned more about their upcoming titles for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Steam. See what they have in store for 2017.
[line style=’inset’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’3′ color=’#00AEEF’]Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force will make its way to Steam in North America, Europe, and Japan as Idea Factory’s first simultaneous worldwide Steam release in early 2017. Following the fierce battle between a Vile God and the weapons of the Goddess, Fairy Fencer F takes place in a land filled with weapons known as Furies. The protagonist Fang gets himself caught up in this battle when he pulls a sword from a stone, and is forced to become an important part of this war.
You can expect Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force to come complete with Japanese and English voices to complement its Japanese and English subtitles. A Steam-exclusive deluxe pack will also be available, come this spring.
[line style=’inset’ top=’10’ bottom=’10’ width=’100%’ height=’3′ color=’#00AEEF’]The upcoming dungeon crawler Mary Skelter: Nightmares will feature a turn-based battle system to complement its RPG mechanics. Using blood transformations, players will set traps to take on insatiable monsters, all while solving the dungeons’ mysteries. Expect a twist in the dungeon-crawling RPG genre, as the game has monsters chasing you the whole time. Assigning different classes, unlocking new skills, and setting traps is the only way to survive.
You can expect Mary Skelter: Nightmares on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV in the summer of 2017.

With over 30 different endings and a beautiful fluid animation art style, this climactic era takes a unique look at Japan’s Bakumatsu period of late shogun.

A brand new action RPG coming from director Kenta Sugano, Dark Rose Valkyrie features a unique real-time combat system that will keep you on your toes. Using riot combos and customizable attacks, players will eradicate the threat of Chimera in a closed-off rendition of Japan. Additionally, characters change form and strength when the sun sets, allowing for more strategic combat.
