AC Valhalla – How To Get The Key Out Of The Tree On The Isle Of Skye

The Crossover Stories DLC is now live and with it, a brand new region to explore. This AC Valhalla – How To Get The Key Out Of The Tree On The Isle Of Skye guide will tell you how to get the key out of the tree in the small town of Kiltaraglen.

If you’re anything like me, coming back to DLC for games can be a tough challenge. Muscle memory often serves enough to get you through the basics but sometimes the simple stuff of yesterday can leave you a little stumped if you’ve not come back to the game in the same mindset. This is a very simple puzzle, but one that may leave a few stumped nonetheless, no pun intended.

In the small village of Kiltaraglen on the Isle of Skye you will find a hut with a chest below. You can enter the hut through the window by moving the large shelving unit blocking the way. Once inside you can break the crates and smash part of the floor to reveal the chest below. However, it needs a key.

You can use your Odin’s Sight to locate the key (R3). This will show you that there is a key stuck on the branch of a nearby tree. When gathering these kinds of items in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, you need to hold the appropriate button. As such, simply jumping for the key and smashing the collect button won’t work.

You need to take the shelving unit, the one that was blocking the window that let you enter the hut, and move it underneath the tree. You can then simply climb up, grab the key, and jump back down.
