AC Valhalla Siege Of Paris Spare Or Kill Charles Choice
At the end of the Siege of Paris DLC, Eivor must decide the fate of one of the stories characters. This AC Valhalla Siege Of Paris Spare Or Kill Charles Choice guide will explain what happens whether Eivor chooses to take pity on Mad King Charles or instead put him out of his misery and kill him.

This is a choice right at the end of the DLC. Eivor frees the queen from trial by fire and she asks him that he shows mercy on the king. Earlier in the story, Odo spoke with Eivor and promised he would take the throne if Eivor killed the king, vowing to never set foot in England. The queen suggests that Eivor can let the king live, she will take him away and help to cure his wounds, while nurturing the kings son as the future king of Francia.

If You Choose I Will Spare Charles
If you choose to spare Charles, the queen expresses her gratitude and promises to take the king away and prepare Bernard to be the future king. You will have to fight the king in both choices but if you make this choice, you can try to spare him. Eivor and the king make an agreement that England will be spared an invasion from Charles’ armies. The queen arrives and promises to keep to the kings word. When you return to Melun Odo is angry that you took the kinds word and he leaves the hall angry.

If You Choose Charles Must Die
If you make this choice Eivor tells the queen that the king dishonored all of his allies and his people. The queen says King Charles will not assure the safety of his people. When you face the mad king, Eivor will immediately start to fight and you will have to kill the king. The queen is distraught at the kings death and calls Eivor selfish and blames anger for his actions. Eivor explains that Charles was a threat to the clan and was mad.

When Eivor returns to Melun, Toka is arguing with Odo. Eivor explains the queen lives but the king is dead. Odo promises to pact of friendship between the future king of France and Eivor, and the group drink in celebration.
