Your equipment is the backbone of Marvel’s Avengers. Finding and upgrading gear is the single, best way of increasing a characters power. As you can unlock 6 unique heroes, that’s a lot of gear. So you’re going to need to stock up on all of the different resources for various gear upgrades and improvements.

Where To Find All Resources In Marvel’s Avengers

If you’re after something specific, it’s a good idea to check the “Objectives” tab within the menu. This lists all of your current chains and the potential reward for completing those chains. These are often resource packs, contain many of the different resources below, others can give you a single type of resource. So it’s always worth checking what mission rewards you have waiting.

Fragments
Fragments are incredibly common.
Dismantling nearly all items
Inside special crates you can destroy on most levels

Upgrade Modules
Defeating elite enemies at ? points of interest in missions.
Found in chests on various levels

Nanites
Found on the crates with purple orbs in many levels
Can be purchased from gear vendor (Roy Model-G)

Nanotube
Found in crates with the blue orbs common on most levels.
Dismantling gear

Catalyst
Found in yellow crates in most levels.
Common when dismantling gear
Can be purchased from gear vendor (Roy Model-G)

Plasma
Found in chests on various levels
Dismantling high tier items

Polychoron
Certain missions guarantee rewards
Reward for completing Faction Daily Missions
Boss missions
Elite enemies in levels can drop them

Uru
Found in chests on various levels
Can be purchased from gear vendor (Roy Model-G)

DNA Key
Seem to be found exclusively from boss battles (Like Task Master). You can farm them daily with faction quests

Vault Coordinates
These open special vaults. They can be farmed on a single map within 2-3 minutes (guide).
