Where To Find Stonewood In God Of War Ragnarok

Stonewood is one of the many crafting resources required to upgrade your gear. This guide on Where To Find Stonewood In God Of War Ragnarok will tell you how far you need to progress into the game before Stonewood starts becoming available as one of the resources you can collect.

When you are upgrading your weapons and armor in God of War Ragnarok, the materials you use work like a tier system. The Stonewood item is usually required when you’re looking to upgrade items past level 3, so it’s considered more rare and expensive than the basic materials you search for in the game.

The earliest place I started finding Stonewood was in Vanaheim. After about 8-12 hours into the game, you will head to Vanaheim with Freya. You have to lift her curse so she can travel between the realms again. During this level you can start finding Stonewood.

It’s most commonly found in the chests that you find off the beaten path. There are a lot of chests in this area that are blocked by mushroom plants. You cannot remove these when you first arrive but when you come to leave, you are able to remove them. You can grab all of the locked chests as you leave and you’ll start finding Stonewood in those chests.

You can then use the Stonewood to start upgrading your weapons and armor to higher tiers of quality.
