MetroidVania-Soulslike Hybrid Mark of the Deep Announced

Inspired by MetroidVania games and Soulslike favorites, Mad Mimic has revealed its new pirate-themed adventure game Mark of the Deep.

Mark of the Deep follows the tale of pirate Marcus “Rookie” Ramsey and his crew. Setting out to rescue his gang that disappeared on a cursed island, countless dangers, myths, and legends await.

The overarching threat of Mark of the Deep is a group known as The Old Folks. These serve as masters of abyssal creatures and guardians of the holder of the secrets of eternal life: the Leviathan.

This title prides itself on its nonlinear adventure. This means players will adapt their plans, expand their skill set and chart their journey.
